Kirsty began her career at BDO LLP, progressing from Trainee Accountant to Senior Audit Manager over 15 years. She also contributed to internal projects and undertook secondments, including as Financial Controller at LK Bennett Ltd, where she later became Head of Finance. During her eight years there, she led the finance team through significant international growth and system upgrades, supporting a turnover of over £100 million.

After a career break, Kirsty moved into the education sector as School Business Manager at Springfield Primary (GLF Trust), overseeing finance, operations, and HR, and securing funding for major capital projects. She then became Regional Finance Partner for 16 schools before joining WMAT in 2020 as Head of Finance. Now Director of Finance, Kirsty leads the Trust’s overall financial management, ensuring compliance, implementing new systems, and supporting growth. She works closely with special schools on SEND funding and has successfully integrated new schools into the Trust’s finance and payroll systems.
