Mike worked at British Airways for over 25 years as a long-haul Captain. His career also includes roles at British Aerospace, Perkins, and Accenture. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London and a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from Cranfield University.

He advocates thoughtful, nuanced leadership that supports, develops, and empowers colleagues. Mike is particularly interested in how human factors—such as distraction, stress, fatigue, and workload—affect performance. He also has significant expertise in Total Quality and Change Management. Mike currently serves as Chair at Rodborough School within WMAT, bringing his extensive leadership experience to support governance and strategic oversight.
